Baptist Church in Waterbury Connecticut

Values

We are here to magnify Jesus Christ by helping people find a new and living relationship with Him and then equipping them with the tools they will need to grow into a dynamic group of spiritually minded believers who will exalt their Savior, edify His church and reach the needy, suffering and lost.

Our mission is to “Go . . . and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:18–20).

Our desire is to always balance biblical truth with God grace.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us . . . full of grace and truth – John 1:14

Our Core Values

Christ:  Christ as presented in God’s Word is to be preeminent in every aspect of the church’s ministries and life.

Love: Love that will be evidence in every decision, individual and church ministry.

Truth:  God’s Word is to be upheld as holy, inerrant and precious.

Worship:  Public and private worship that will be dynamic, honest, sincere and relevant.

Service:  Members and attenders that are committed and humble — earnestly striving to regularly use their spiritual gift(s) for Christ.

Family:  To nurture individuals and families to be authentic so that godly roles and true biblical values will be upheld.

Missions:  Both local and global outreach will be practiced in earnest love and compassion for those that are lost and hurting.

Ephesians 4:1-13

This passage is the passage we claim as the general guideline for the function of the church.

And he gave some, . . . pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ . . .
