War Against God - Acts 12

We are at war.  No, not the kind of war fought with guns, tanks, and bombs.  Though the enemy has weaponized governments, religion, military, and law enforcement groups to do its bidding.  It is an asymmetric warfare, involving both the spiritual and natural realms in a rebellion against God, and against everything that lays claim to His name.  

It has been raging from the beginning of time.  It began in heaven when Satan and his demonic hosts revolted against their Creator and God, and it has since spilt onto this earth: deceiving and corrupting men.  On the human front, the battle began with Adam and Eve, and from their fall, the war of the ages spread to the human realms.

Hence, from this time forward, unredeemed men have shaken their fists in defiance at God.  Although it is sheer folly for them to do this (impotence against Omnipotence, finite against Infinite, etc.), it does not stop each succeeding generation from trying. History is a record of their folly.  It is strewn with the wreckage of broken lives of those foolish enough to fight with God.
