Reason to be Thankful - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

This week we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and in light of that I would like to talk about Reasons for Thankfulness. To do that I would like to invite you to turn in your Bibles to 1 Thessalonians 5.

There are 3 commands found in verses 16 to 18. They are “rejoice” (v.16), “pray” (v.17), and “give thanks” (v.18).

Paul says in verse 18, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” If there is ever a passage stating the will of God for His children, it’s this one. God desires His children to be thankful.
