Christmas Peace - Isaiah 9:6

Jesus is called the Prince of Peace in Isaiah 9:6 – 

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

And at Jesus’ first Advent on Earth the angel declared,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” - Luke 2:14 -

Yet peace . . . What is true peace?  We know peace is what the world longs for.  The succession of war, hunger, poverty, greed, violence, cruelty, injustice, inequality and loneliness. 

But when we consider the state of affairs in our world we have to ask, What is peace? What will it look like? Can it ever come?
