Repairing the Breaches - 2 Chronicals 23

Feb 16, 2022    Dr. Craig Scott & Craig Akins

Most homeowners know what I mean when I say, ‘It takes a great deal of work to maintain property.’ Simply put, if buildings are not attended to, they decay. Over time, with any property, you will have to replace carpets, kitchen cabinets, windows, doors and floors. Ceilings and walls will need painting, leaks will need to be fixed, lawns mowed, bushes trimmed, flowers planted, and weeds pulled. Decay can also happen spiritually. Just as homes and church buildings need to be cared for, so does our personal relationship with God. It will decay in the same way poor maintenance leads to dusty rooms, dried and pealed plaster, and dysfunctional facilities. Restoration is necessary. If it is not constantly going on in a building or in us, decay will soon take place. The longer we wait to bring about repairs, the costlier the project. Tonight’s discussion will examine five steps we can take to maintain a healthy spiritual walk.
