God Our Refuge - Psalm 46

The world is in turmoil.  Everywhere from our nation and across the globe we see dissatisfaction, chaos, rumors of war, wars, conflicts, revolts and so much more.  Yet, in this context God offer refuge and peace.

Psalm 46 is a song written in the context of problems, stress, and uncertainty. The writer’s world was crumbling all around him. He understood that a nation is strong when their trust is in God. However, the source of our strength cannot be in our government, our economy, our buildings, or anything else.  All that is temporary. We must return to God.
