Christmas Faith - Luke 1:26

Dec 25, 2022    Dr. Craig P. Scott

The Christmas story is filled with men and women displaying great faith in the midst of giant obstacles.  Their actions illustrated their deep love for the Lord and exemplified their abounding faith – a trusting faith that is focused on God’s Promises, Power and Presence.

Their faith speaks volumes to us about the kind of faith we should have when trials cross our path.  May their Christmas faith encourage us to cling to the returning promise of our Savior.  When He returns the second time it will be, “with power and great glory.”

In that day, all mockery will cease for he will rule the nations with a rod of iron. He came the first time as the Lamb of God; he comes again as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Two thousand years ago the religious leaders shouted in scorn, “He saved others, but he can’t save himself!” (Matthew 24:42).

The day is coming when the whole world will see Jesus as he really is. When that happens, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This morning we will look at six stories surrounding Christmas that highlights their faith in God’s Promises, Power and Presence.
