Godliness - 1 Timothy 3:16

From the time of Adam’s fall, humanity has twisted the meaning of godliness. Paganism perverts it. The Jewish Scribes made the Law into a system of works. Portions of the church have twist godliness into being earned through a system of sacraments or into the performance of various forms of works or deeds. But that is not godliness. Now the mystery of true godliness has been fully revealed. It was foreshadowed in the old covenant and now disclosed in the new. It is Christ. It is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. All godliness begins and ends in Him and in Him alone.
