On The Verge Of Extinction - Luke 15

If a generation goes by without having any children, then there will not be another generation. That is the end of mankind. If a local church goes a generation without making new disciples, it too will go out of existence. It is just the simple facts of life. No babies, no growth. If there is no growth, sooner or later there will be a decline in the population (which will bring with it a multitude of problems) followed by a lingering death.
Every generation faces the threat of extinction. Negative population growth affects churches and nations. The Lord points out that everyone's eternal end should be very precious in our sight. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" - Psalm 116:15.
