HEAVEN: A Physical Place - Revelation 15:5-8

A Christian once said, “This idea of having bodies and eating food and being in an earthly place . . . it just sounds so unspiritual.” Without knowing it, he was under the influence of Christo-platonism (a belief that all material things, including the human body and the earth are evil, while only immaterial things such as the soul and Heaven are good.) The result of this pagan Greek philosophy - made by some early church fathers to look Christian - has caused many to believe that Heaven is only a spiritual place with no material properties.
This evening we take a closer look at the physical aspects of heaven.
