“Have I been so long with you, and yet hast thou not known me.” – John 14:9
It is possible to know Christ but not really know Him intimately. The above passage points out this fact in the life of Philip. Philip was a godly man. A man who pondered the Messianic truths even before he was brought to Christ. A man who lived and walked with Christ for three years. Yet he did not grasp the fullness of the revelation he had in Christ . . . and was troubled.
If we want to know the Father better, then we must get better acquainted with Jesus.
