The Coronation of Our Priest/King - Zechariah 6

The first eight visions of Zechariah are all connected. They were received in one night and were intended to encourage the nation in a variety of ways.
•It encouraged the weary leaders that God would help in the rebuilding of the temple and city of Jerusalem.
•It encouraged those who felt God had abandoned them.
•The visions showed the Lord was still in their midst.
•The visions also picture a future hope . . . a hope that is much grander than the second temple and the city. It pictures our eternal hope. Zechariah sees the promised Messiah crowned Priest and King. In that last day He will rule in righteousness and bring peace to the earth.
