One Christ, One Faith - 1 Corinthians 1:7-16

Jun 5, 2022    Dr. Craig P. Scott

We live in an amazing period of time. The changes that have occurred our life time are simply staggering. Furthermore, if the Lord does not return, according to Brett King, the author of Augmented: Life in the Smart Lane, he predicts that the volume of change we will experience in next decade will equal that of which we experienced over the last 100 years. Technology has many good points to it, but the changes that are to come upon us in the next few decades can easily destroy the Christian who is not soundly rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today’s message is about being rooted in Christ. For some here, the assault on your faith has already begun, and technology has only accelerated it. Subtle lies and deceit are already pounding on the doors of your heart. Satan is a disseminator of lies. His strategy is designed to confuse, deceived, and discredit the world and fracture and discourage God’s children. If one is not careful, they may stop following the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul warned us about it when he wrote 1 Tim. 4:1-2, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
