Saints - 1 Corinthians 1:1-9
If you’re a child of God, then God calls you a saint. I’m not talking about those little statutes you find sitting on the dashboard of a car or a person dubbed “a saint” by some ecclesiastical group.
The book of 1 Corinthians 1:2 is written to saints. Listen to what he wrote, “Unto the church of God, which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.”
The term “saint” refers to all genuine Christians. It is one of Paul’s favor titles for believers. He uses the term 66 times in his letters to the assembly of believers. God is calling genuine believers in Christ, “sacred” (those who have been made physically and morally pure through the blood of Christ).
