Biblically Handling Our Wealth - James 5:1-8

Our passage in the book of James gets very personal. He declares that our faith is revealed in how we handle our wealth (James 5:1-8). A friend of mine would jokingly comment “the last thing that usually gets saved in a man’s life is his wallet.” It is true, how we handle our wealth is a real indicator of one’s genuine faith. It reveals in tangible ways the temperature of one’s faith. Our faith can be literally be measured in how we obtain and use the assets entrusted to us by the LORD. Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Luke 12:15).
